A while ago now I posted a picture of a Kiko Milano bag on my Instagram after going into their store in Bath & purchasing some items. Since I first tried the products, I’ve been meaning to reviews them but new launches meant that I kept pushing the đánh giá back – until now!
As you can see from the title, today I’ll be reviewing the Kiko Milano ‘Velvet Matte Passion Lipstick’. I picked up two of these these up for their retail price of £6.90 in person at the Kiko store. I chose the shades ‘323 Imperial Blu’ and ‘317 Wine’. I chose ‘317 Wine’ because it looked lượt thích the kind of redish pink shade that I’d get a lot of use out of, and I chose the blue one as I don’t own any blue lipsticks & really wanted to lớn try something different.
PackagingIn terms of the packaging, I can’t say that the box is the most exciting thing I’ve ever seen. Black boxes are pretty common, but they vị look sleek và at the end of the day they’re only there to lớn protect the sản phẩm inside. However, I bởi vì keep the boxes that I really like, và I can’t say that I kept any of the Kiko ones (they’re all like this).
The actual lipstick component, on the other hand, is something that I haven’t seen before. The lid is a steel grey colour with the tên thương hiệu on it, & covers almost the entire tube, leaving part of the main lipstick component free. Under this, the lipstick component is copper, with a similar grey colour at the top. I believe the packaging is a size of metal, as it’s quite heavy compared khổng lồ other lipsticks that I have, và its usually cold lớn the touch.
I think the part of the lipstick packaging that I was most excited for (I’m pretty sure I actually made a noise when I realised this) is that it’s magnetic! I don’t own any lipsticks that have magnets lớn keep the lid on & it’s fantastic. This means that the lid will never fall off, and it just generally feels luxurious.
Overall, I’m not the biggest tín đồ of the outer box, but I adore the packaging of the actual lipstick.
‘323 Imperial Blu’You can see what I was explaining about the lipstick tube in this photo. Another cool thing is that the lipstick itself has a kind of geometric shape at the đứng top – again something that I haven’t seen in a lipstick before. It also has the Kiko hình ảnh engraved in it.
As I said, this is the first time I’ve owned a blue lipstick, or really any kind of cool alternative lipstick colour. I honestly really love it và think it’s a super cool colour. Although I’ve only worn it properly once, I think it’s awesome & I’ll definitely be reaching for it again in the future. This isn’t an every day colour for me, but is great for when I’m feeling bold.
The only issue that I have with this lipstick is that it really needs a lip liner. It’s extremely difficult lớn get a crisp line around the outside of your lips. However, Kiko don’t actually stock a blue lip liner, or any liner even close khổng lồ this colour. I find it a little strange that a brand would make this kind of colour and not make a liner to lớn go with it. Colours lượt thích this tend lớn need a liner và I’d really appreciate it if Kiko would bring one out!

‘317 Wine’This is definitely a more traditionally ‘me’ shade. I tend lớn reach for nude pinks, medium pinks, berries, & reds, a lot. I picked this one up because I wanted more of an everyday colour that I knew I’d get use out of (especially if I didn’t like the blue on me).
The formula on these is pretty creamy going on and very pigmented but it does dry down to a matte. They aren’t hugely long-wearing & aren’t completely transfer proof, but they hold up pretty well.
I adore this colour & have worn it a few times. Again, I find this formula needs a lip liner, so I did go back to lớn Kiko & pick up some liners that I thought would work with this shade & some of my other lipsticks.

Final ThoughtsOverall, I really lượt thích these lipsticks & definitely will be reaching for them a lot. I kind of can’t believe that they were only £6.90. They look, and feel much more expensive, and I think they’re 100% worth this price. I’m definitely going to kiểm tra out some of the other shades they stock và get some more. If you are going khổng lồ pick any of these up however, I would recommend getting a lip liner too – their lip liners are also fantastic (I have a couple of the ‘Creamy Colour Comfort Lip Liners’). Be sure to check that they actually vì chưng have a lip liner close in colour khổng lồ the shade you’re looking at though! I’d recommend heading into a Kiko store if you have one near you if you’re unsure on which liner will match which lipstick.

About The Looks!
The lipstick comes in packed in a đen box which kind of resembles like that of MAC, the only difference is that MAC lipstick boxes don’t have a lot printed on them, whereas KIKO one has a lot. It has the name of the brand with its logo, the name of the product, ingredients, price, quantity, etc. The vị trí cao nhất flap of the box has the shade number. There are no names for these lipsticks only numbers which makes it difficult for me khổng lồ remember them. I can remember names a lot easier than numbers. The lipstick itself is gorgeously packed! I love the kiến thiết and màu sắc of it! The lipstick case is round shaped & the vị trí cao nhất part or the cap is of metal gray màu sắc and the bottom part which has the lipstick bullet is of gold color. When it’s opened the gold part has a small gray part which is uniquely placed. The lipstick has a magnet in it which makes it close securely. I love this part. Only Nars lipstick had such a feature earlier, or that is what I know. I really love the beautiful and unique design & metallic & chic packaging!

My views và thoughts on the Kiko Milano Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick 310!
I love the color! It’s a beautiful warm pink or coral shade. It’s a dark bright pink with red undertones which makes it warm. This color is perfect for fall/autumn và spring time. Though you can totally play with it in summers too as it’s bright. The shade is such that it will suit all Indian skin tones. This is due khổng lồ its warm undertone. It will look slightly different on different skin tones, but it will certainly look nice.

The formula is what I am a huge fan of! It’s amazing! When it says velvet matte finish outside, it says the truth! The formula feels matte when you apply it on the lips but does not dries out the lips lượt thích other super matte lipsticks. It applies evenly without any tugging & gives a beautiful velvet like finish which is matte but makes your lips feel hydrated all the time. This formula does not accentuate the fine lines on the lips instead, it blurs them out! This is the amazing part! It keeps my lips soft, supple & hydrated!

The shape of the bullet đứng top is also unique & good, as it makes the application pretty precise và easy. The lasting power nguồn of the lipstick is pretty good too! It lasts on lips without any meals for about 6 – 7 hours & with meals around 5 – 6 hours, depending on the type of the meal. It does transfers but not too much.
