Iron Man has a daughter. No, this is not breaking news, as Robert Downey Jr’s daughter, Avri (pronounced Ay-Vree) Roel Downey, recently celebrated her eighth birthday, but for those who don’t follow the Downeys (Robert và his wife, producer Susan Downey), it could be news, nonetheless.
Even with parents who are all about Hollywood, Avri has yet khổng lồ make the leap onto a movie set although, as you will see, she has been featured prominently on a few of Robert Downey Jr’s social media videos.

Avri Roel Downey came blazing into this world on November 4, 2014. Her birth was proceeded by a fun announcement by Robert Downey Jr on his Facebook page.
On it he wrote, “After 9 months of intensive development, Team Downey is pleased lớn announce our năm trước fall/winter project. You may be curious about Avri’s middle name, Roel, as it is very unique. The inspiration of her middle name comes from both sets of her grandparents. The first two characters of her middle name, “Ro” is derived her paternal grandfather’s name, Robert, và his wife, who is named Rosemary. Also, Avri’s maternal grandmother, Susan’s mom, is named Rosie.
The last two letters of her middle name, “el”, come from Robert Downey Jr’s mother, Elsie, & Susan Downey’s father, Eliot Levin. Combining the grandparents’ names is a great way to lớn honor Avri Roel Downey’s grandparents.
AVRI ROEL DOWNEY HAS TWO OLDER SIBLINGS, INDIO FALCONER and EXTON ELIAS
Avri Roel Downey is not an only child. In fact, not only does she have an older brother from her parents, Robert và Susan, but she also has an older half-brother from Robert’s earlier relationship with Deborah Falconer. The two, Robert and Deborah, were married in 1992.
Indio Falconer Downey was born in September 1993, making him almost 30 years old. He was born in the middle of a tumultuous time in Robert và Deborah’s life, as Robert had been in và out of rehab for drugs and alcohol. Not only were they dealing with Robert’s substance abuse issues, but Robert was also finding himself in & out of jail, as well.

Avri Roel Downey’s other older brother is from Robert & Susan. Exton Elias Downey was born in February 2012, making him 10 years old. Although Exton’s welcome into the world was as normal as could be, the simple fact that Robert Downey Jr jumped the gun & revealed the baby’s sex on national television before he was born was something Susan was not too fond of.
“I could never really stay mad at him, but I can tell you it genuinely wasn’t something we planned to lớn reveal,” Susan explained at the time. Thankfully, Robert was mum on their son’s name, joking with PEOPLE, “If I told you the name, then she would lop off my head with a machete.”

We have not made it a secret that Avri Roel Downey’s father is Robert Downey Jr, aka Tony Stark/Iron Man. But before Downey Jr. Nailed the coveted role, his career had been rolling along at full speed. Downey Jr’s first introduction lớn film or television came way back in 1970 & then again in 1972.

She met her future husband on the mix of his film, Gothika, where Susan was also a producer. The pair only sort of hit it off at first, as Susan knew Downey Jr’s history and was reluctant to lớn jump into a relationship with the oft-troubled actor.
After turning him down twice, they slowly began to see each other as both of their careers began to lớn blossom. Susan became more & more locked into producing films và as her và Downey’s relationship turned from dating khổng lồ marriage, they began khổng lồ team up on projects as producers. They made their professional partnership a real thing in 2010 when they formed their Team Downey production company.

"I don't want to lớn have to wear a bald cap, so you've got to shave my head," he boldly told them, which Avri questioned with: "Is that even appropriate?"

While they initially looked at him with confusion, it eventually cut to lớn a montage of them breaking out the equipment & actually shaving Robert's hair off.
Eventually, after the transformation was complete, he said to his kids: "Thanks guys! I'll let you get back to your pumpkin carving, but what vày I owe ya?"
Robert asked his kids to help shave his head for his new role
After a bit of conspiratorial whispering, Avri suggested that he help her out with a Halloween project, culminating in her revealing her dad with his shaved head and a spooky pumpkin painted on khổng lồ the back.
"The things we vày for our work… and our kids. #Sympathizer set ready," he quipped in his caption, & fans quickly began raving over the shake-up.

The Iron Man star is a father to lớn Exton & Avri with wife-of-17-years Susan Downey, while he shares oldest son Indio, 29, with his first wife Deborah Falconer.

The Sympathizer will mark the actor's big comeback lớn the screen after hanging up his role as the Avenger, also his first starring TV role, an adaptation of Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name.
